The CCMBL database contains a wide range of cellular and molecular trait data from vertebrate species that has been collected by comparative biologists with the goal of identifying traits that are highly correlated with longevity. Currently the CCMBL database contains about a thousand data records from almost one hundred individual studies. The data can be viewed in table format by searching in one of two ways:
Search by trait category: (A full list of traits and their corresponding categories are available here)
(Note: the search looks for exact matches to your input text in both the scientific and common name fields, but it is NOT case sensitive. A common name, such as "mouse", may cover a few species. If you want your search specific to a species, you should use its complete scientific name with correct spelling. Click here for a full list of species with their scientific and common name designation.)
